The Improve Communication Network consists of a close collaboration of successful and talented entrepreneurs or companies in Amsterdam, Brussels, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, and for the North African market . They all have a proven track record within the industry, developing strategies and surprising work for their clients.
Ruud Nijhout and Ocky Wiemeijer are in charge of the daily management of Improve Communication Network in Amsterdam, supported by Sr. Consultant Ilse Hage and Creative Director Dick Holzhaus.
Ocky Wiemeijer made his name as a journalist for De Telegraaf newspaper, as publisher of special interest magazines, as marketing director for Sky Channel, and last but not least, as the entrepreneur who established the communication and PR agency Wieco 20 years ago.
Ruud Nijhout has been involved in the field of marketing for more than 35 years. He served as a board member for a number of ad agencies, worked for several years "on the other side of the fence" as a client, and advised companies such as Coca-Cola, Aegon, P&G and many others. He started his own strategic consultancy company Independent Network more than 10 years ago. Ocky and Ruud merged their companies into Improve Communication during 2007.
Ilse Hage visited Ocky Wiemeijer 11 years ago for an introductory interview, after successfully completing her Communication Management course of studies, and subsequently never left. Over the past 7 years as senior consultant, she has been our pillar of support in the Amsterdam agency, dealing with a broad client portfolio.
Dick Holzhaus recently complemented the Amsterdam management team as Creative Director. A veteran in the field of art direction and communication started his career working for agencies like Lintas, before establishing his own agency. Dick has a proven 'track record' in campaign development and out-of-the-box thinking.
